Protect And Improve Sensitive Skin

How To Protect And Improve Your Sensitive Skin ! Submitted by: Claudia Budu Ph.D
TelBari Inc

Sensitive skin shows continuous hyperactivity to environmental factors and exhibits a reduced tolerance to frequent or prolonged use of cosmetics and toiletries. The skin displays signs of irritation such as erythema, desquamation or discomfort such as itching, burning and stinging. These conditions are becoming even more pronounced after exposure to dry and cold climates. Sensitivity can also increase with age. It has been reported for example that the skin gets more sensitive in women at the beginning of menopause.

Many ingredients usually included in cosmetics such as dimethyl sulfoxid, benzoic acid, salicylic acid, propylene glycol, lactic acid, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium benzoate, cinnamic acid, sorbic acid are potential irritants. Formulations, in which a beneficial constituent is involved, can be detrimental for the skin in certain conditions. For example, a formulation containing a small molecule such as acid hydroxy acetic (AHA) with a lower pH can provoke sensations of tingling, itching or irritation when applied to sensitive, unhealthy or inflamed skin. Such reactions can be triggered by uncontrolled release of the acid, fast penetration into the skin and low pH.

The moisturizers, which enhance the barrier function of the skin can protect against different irritants. Therefore, choosing a good moisturizer is one of the most important steps for a healthy skin.

Natural constituents such as: essential fatty acids (linoleic and gamma linoleic acids), vitamins, minerals, high percentage of water and water like ingredients are the basic stones for providing skin regeneration and nourishment. Humectants, such as glycerin have an important role in retaining skin moisture and support the elasticity of the skin. Antioxidants, such as protoanthocyanidins found in grape seed oil for example, are particularly helpful in stabilizing the collagen structure, which held tissues together. Other antioxidants such as, beta carotene, vitamin E, vitamin C and selenium are beneficial for overall protection against environmental condition and UV rays. And finally, the least chemicals in a cream, the least chances of irritation and adverse affects it has when applied onto the skin.

By using natural and organic skin treatments, you will receive the same beneficial effects to your health as you would eating an organic food. Natural products are easily assimilated through the skin, easily metabolized as they are recognizable molecules and the surplus is easily discarded. However, the skin adjustment to the natural regimen is not a rapid process and it doesn’t occur with one application. It is a long term commitment, which substantially increases your skin health and rejuvenating power.

You certainly may choose the shortest way of becoming suddenly perfect, by covering skin imperfection with makeup, or by choosing a strong synthetic cream, which might show you 5 years younger but usually with side effects.

In conclusion. Give your skin the same attention as your inner body. Nourish it and protect it as you would nourish and protect your whole body. Don’t wait until is too late to change to a natural cosmetic regimen.

Avon ANEW CLINICAL Eye Lift

review avon product

This product is great! The gel and cream work well on the respective top and bottom lids. I noticed a significant difference in the overall appearance of my eyes....lines were much less noticeable after 3 weeks. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the gel has a tendency to feather off if you wipe it or apply shadow over it.
Not a biggie for me as I rarely wear shadow. If I do, then I just reserve the gel for nighttime application.

Homemade Beauty Skin Care Tips

Follow Homemade Beauty Tips - For Beauty Is In Nature's Grips

Beautiful people of all ages have maintained that beauty is not as much reflected in the rosy, youthful look of the skin. When questioned about the secret to their beautiful skins, they have always attributed it to a healthy lifestyle and a few homemade beauty tips. Healthy lifestyle and homemade beauty skin care tips are mostly based on the refreshing, detoxifying effects of natural and herbal products with the former fortifying the system's internal strength and the later protecting outwardly. Homemade beauty skin care tips, as such, are based on judicial choice of herbal ingredients for external skin care. Some home-based natural skin care tips would be as follows:

* Buttermilk/cream and yogurt make excellent skin cleansers. They are also excellent for giving a glowing, uniform color and skin tone. They have been used for wrinkle reduction and plumping/rejuvenating the skin. What also works great is eating salmon 2 times a week. Salmon is very high in omega-3 fatty acids and is great for your skin and nervous system (it is interesting to note that salmon and spinach are 2 of the best superfoods).
* After-bath application of almond oil is undoubtedly a great treat for the skin - the suppleness and glow it brings to the skin is unmatched by even the very best of moisturizers. Almond oil in conjunction with a TCA peel is currently used by many physicians and dermatologists. The almond oil increases the healing time and actually makes the results even better. Apply every 2-3 months for maximum results. TCA peels are now available for in home use at tremendous savings.
* Regular application of honey or yogurt makes the skin soft and has a gentle bleaching effect. This really does work, but can take 8-10 applications to see visible results.
* Sea salt/sugar mixed with olive oil works as an extraordinary at-home body exfoliation preparation. Basically this will yield a good miscroderm abrasion treatment when applied properly. Apply once per month.
* Different natural and herbal products like Aloe Vera, Basil, Chamomile, Lavender, Marshmallow, Neem, Oatmeal, Sandalwood, Tea tree oil, Turmeric, Witch Hazel, etc. used as facial packs often help to dispose dead cells and impurities lodged in the skin to unclog pores. Side by side playing the roles of cleansers, the natural processes of these herbal products and elements strike the water-oil balance of the skin and help restore its natural pH - good for reducing acne bacteria and similar skin conditions. If you find it too troublesome to go for natural skin treatments, the safest choice will be the TCA peels. The ready-to-be-used medically approved TCA peels have an answer for almost all skin problems - right from acnes to wrinkles and skin pigmentations to dryness. With long lasting effects, TCA peels give back the skin its natural healthfulness. With no harmful side effects (nearing the gentleness of homemade beauty tips), TCA peels can be safely used for teen- age skin problems. Two is undoubtedly 'company' but three is not always 'crowd'.
TCA peels, balanced diets and a few homemade beauty tips make enviable company when it comes to revitalizing the skin. Especially the above mentioned combination of almond oil and the TCA peel. I have used this myself and experienced a rejuvenation similar to taking 15 years off - simply amazing.
Therefore, surrender to the cares of the threesome and be the proud possessor of a youthful skin and look!

Tips Herbal skin care

Tips Herbal skin care
Herbs have been used in skin care from times immemorial. Ancient Ayurvedic texts in India speak of the use various herbs, such as, basil, turmeric, and saffron in skin care preparations. Herbs are now being increasingly used in the manufacture of skin care products across the world because of their healing and rejuvenating properties. Some brands do not even use artificial preservatives in their products, instead depending on the inherent quality of certain herbs to preserve themselves.

Today, aloe vera is one of the most popular herbs, hailed for its skin- soothing and anti-aging properties. It is used in cleansers, face washes, massage creams, sunscreens, and anti- acne products. Tea tree oil is also widely used in skin care products for its antiseptic and anti-acne properties. Ginseng, sage, rosemary, witch hazel, chamomile, calendula, and arnica are also popular. They are used in the manufacture of skin care products for different skin types, based on their properties.

Basil and mint are used in acne skin care because of their anti-bacterial and refreshing properties. Fresh basil or mint juice can be applied everyday on pimples. Turmeric is another essential ingredient in many skin care products because of its antiseptic quality. It ensures a glowing, blemish-free complexion. Fresh turmeric fingers can be ground with a little milk and applied on the face and the body. Pure saffron is widely used in traditional medicinal and skin care preparations in India and the Middle East. A few almonds and saffron strands can be soaked in milk and then ground into a paste with the milk. Mixed with rosewater, this face mask nourishes and revitalizes skin. These are simple herbal skin care preparations that can be made by everybody at home. However, elaborate herbal remedies should not be attempted at home without proper knowledge of herbs and their effects.

To conclude, certain herbs are very beneficial for the skin and products containing them can be used with good effect. However, products of only reputed brands should be used, as the wrong mix of herbs could create problems.

Review The Best Moisturizer

Eucerin Clear Skin Formula Skin Renewal Day Lotion, SPF 15 , 4 Fluid Ounces
review eucerin products

Eucerin Clear Skin Formula Daily Renewal Lotion is hands down, no argument, simply the best moisturizer for anyone with acne-prone skin. It contains lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid, in a non-comedogenic formula, complete with sunscreen (SPF 15). Like many others, I discovered this moisturizer via an acne treatment website. I'm glad I did this product is effective in moisturizing, reducing fine lines, improving skin tone, all while combatting those obnoxious pimples we all hate.

The sunscreen is a nice touch, although for those seeking excessive sun exposure, a higher SPF sunscreen should also be applied. That aside, this fragrance-free lotion is incredibly effective if used daily. I apply this every morning after cleansing and applying a thin layer of benzoyl peroxide (2.5%). It leaves very little shine, which is particularly surprising moisturizers generally make it look like I've been sweating for hours. But most importantly, it works very well with benzoyl peroxide to combat stubborn
mild to moderate acne (those with severe blemish problems may find little help here). I have had a stubborn case of milia on my forehead which I thought would never go away. Within two weeks of using Eucerin's Clear Skin lotion, the problem is receding quickly. My forehead is beginning to look smooth and clear for the first time in months.

I do not use a beta hydroxy acid in spite of popular advice that BHAs are more effective in treating acne. This is entirely user-dependent and requires plenty of experimentation to find your skin's tolerance.
Eucerin's product has quickly reduced the amount of time from the initial sight of a blemish to its disappearance. I'm continuing its usage to see if these blemishes will cease to appear with persistent applications.

The Skin Care benefits of Azulene

Azulene is a constituent of the volatile oil obtained by steam distillation from Chamomile, Anthemis nobilis (Roman Chamomile), Achillea millefolium (Yarrow), or Tanacetum anuum (Blue tansy), and it is distinguished by it's spectacular blue colour. Azulenes are unsaturated blue hydrocarbons, isomers of naphthalene. Chamomile contains a wide variety of active constituents. Each one of these constituents expresses a specific action but the fascinating holistic effect is the result of all of the components working together. The main constituents in the oil from chamomile are alpha-bisabolol and chamazulene, sesquiterpene derivatives. Other beneficial substances are present as well, primarily apigenin and a number of other flavonoids.

Benefits: In clinical studies Azulenes and bisabolol have been shown to exhibit dramatic anti-inflammatory effects and Chamazulene showed significant antioxidant protection. In practical terms this means that application of these natural substances will help to prevent skin blemishes from developing and will help stop deterioration of skin cells that leads to wrinkles, fine lines and pigmentation.

Quotes: 'With a large list of recent basic research accruing, chamomile is a perfect example of a herb having diverse therapeutic uses.' 'Chamomile preparations are widely used in skin care products to reduce cutaneous inflammation and other dermatological diseases.' George Nemecz, Ph.D., U.S.Pharmacist/Herbal Pharmacy.

Chamomile soothes, heals, combats inflammation and stimulates cell regeneration. German Chamomile is the variety most widely used in skin treatment it is rich in a fatty substance called azulene which has extraordinary healing, anti-bacterial and anti- inflammatory powers. Natural Skin Care Strategies

Submitted by: Alisha Burke
http://www.yourskin101.com

When people think about skin care, consumer products are generally the first things that come to mind. While there some excellent skin care products on the market today, the solution to your skin care problems cannot always be solved with the latest and greatest products. While these products do have their place, there are a number of things you can do on your own to ensure that your skin is healthy and beautiful.

Proper hydration is often overlooked as a treatment for problematic skin. The importance of water consumption cannot be understated. It is recommended that everyone drink upwards of eight 8oz glasses of water per day. Water plays a significant role in helping to rid your body of excess toxins. These toxins can have an effect on other areas of your health, as well as the state of your skin. Exfoliation is another element of skin care that is often overlooked.
Proper exfoliation can have a profound effect on your skin. Dry brush exfoliation is by far the best for your skin, as it removes dead skin cells, improves lymph node function, and increases blood circulation. Dry brush exfoliation also stimulates detoxification. As your skin is your largest organ, the state of your skin can provide a lot of information about the state of your health.

Your diet also plays a significant role in the health of your skin. Common sugar, for instance, has recently been linked with accelerated aging. The process is called glycation, and occurs when a sugar molecule binds to a protein molecule. These new molecules are referred to as AGE's (advanced glycation end products), and have been found to damage collagen in skin, ligaments, and cartilage.

Essential fats are another consideration. These are fats that your body cannot live without because they assist in the creation of cell membranes, hormones, and other such chemicals needed for optimal health. To ensure you are getting "good" fats in your diet, try using flax seed oil, walnut oil, or other such supplements. Eating fish can also provide you with an excellent source of "good" fat, especially salmon and sardines. Be sure to consult your physician before making any significant lifestyle changes.

Dry Skin Care

Submitted by: Jimmy Sturo
MLM Leads

Dry skin is characterized by dull and rough appearance. Some individuals are born with dry skin, while others develop it over time, due to a host of factors. Dry skin tends to age faster as it lacks the necessary oil and moisture to keep skin soft and supple.

Individuals may develop dry skin due overexposure to sunlight, harsh climatic conditions like severe cold or heat, or artificial room heating or cooling. An improper skin care regimen, especially the overuse of soap or face wash, or no skin care at all can also lead to dull skin.

For people with dry skin, facial skin care should involve the basic skin care regimen recommended for all skin types- that is, cleansing, toning, and moisturizing. In addition, an oil massage for the face and the body, using either olive or almond oil is recommended before bathing. Warm water should be used for bathing. A suitable moisturizer and a body lotion should be applied after bathing. Sunscreen must not be forgotten while going out during the day. Honey is a good moisturizer, and those who wish to follow the natural path to glowing skin can apply it regularly over the face and the neck and wash it off after ten minutes. A face mask made of raw egg, honey, and rosewater is beneficial to dry skin. Mashed, ripe banana can also be used as a rejuvenating face mask. Mashed, ripe strawberries mixed with fresh cream provide a similar effect.

Dry skin also needs some extra care, such as the application of an outer eye cream and night cream. Both provide essential oil to dry skin and prevent signs of premature aging like wrinkles and fine lines.

To conclude, apart from external care, a wholesome diet that includes cereals, nuts, vegetables, and fruits can prevent premature aging of dry skin. Intake of garlic, carrots, eggs, and milk is especially recommended. Daily intake of at least eight glasses of water, and adequate sleep are also vital aspects of skin care.
Fried food, soft drinks, excessive tea and coffee, and smoking and alcohol are harmful for skin. Therefore, these should be avoided.
