Oil free moisturizers usually contain glycerin and water, and some of the best products also contain tea extracts and oatmeal. Beauty tips columns always contain the oatmeal facial mask as a remedy for oily skin.
Treating oily skin is done at two levels; prevention and blemish control. Gentle treatment, the right oil-control makeup and proper nutrition can help prevent oily skin. If you're a junk food junkie and have oily skin or breakouts, take a month off from your favorite foods to see if your skin condition improves.
Oily skin might have its own advantages like aging slower than dry skin - but, hey, that's too good to be true. Sebum (oil) is not at all damaging, however, in fact it acts as the skin's defense by lubricating the skin and shedding out dead skin cells from the skin's hair follicle walls.
You can start with inexpensive oily skin care (some commercial products actually do more damage than cure). The point is not to dry up your oily skin as this stimulates the glands to produce more oil instead.
Ironically, oily skin can also be sensitive and washing with harsh cleansers often causes irritation and inflammations. A golden rule especially in oily skin care: never sleep with you makeup on and save the cold creams for your dry-skinned friend. Fruit acids remove the top dead layer of the skin while maintaining the skin's natural moisture.
Also, there are medications available commercially for oily skin care. Aromatherapy oils also do wonders for oily skin. You can include in your selection oils from cedarwood, clary sage, geranium, lavender, sandalwood, tea tree, ylang-ylang, grape seed oil and jojoba oil. Oily skin care, as the name suggests, deals with treating and controlling acne and excessive oil production - very common amongst people no matter their age. Secondly, cosmetic products containing artificial chemicals can further stimulate and increase oil secretions. Seek out oily skincare products specifically formulated to treat your type.
Apply a light oil-free, matte foundation to your skin during the day, and when it gets oily, wipe your skin with tissue and reapply the foundation. It helps to remove the tan and lightens the skin.
Wash or clean skin with cold water or rose water after 15 to 20 minutes and pat dry. Neem possesses excellent medicinal properties and is most ideal for skin blemishes, acne and other skin problems.
For oily skin wash your face 2 or 3 times with soap and mix Mint juice with rose water and apply to your face and wait 10-15 min and wash with cold water.
Apply it for 20 minutes and wash your face with ice- cold water. At the moment, everyone is taking about oily skin care and its potential effects. If you want to make sure that your oily skin care cream won't hurt you, just look at the ingredients. You need to search for products which use substances like Babassu oil and Grape seed Oil. These oily skin care creams will take care of your body perfectly and you will get the results you were looking for.

Non-invasive Treatments for Wrinkles
One of the most common age-related problems is aging-skin that starts showing symptoms in the form of wrinkles, dark circles, and sagging skin, particularly over exposed skin parts like face, around eyes, neck, arms etc. Therefore, it becomes pertinent for health conscious people to seek advice from health experts/cosmetologists, and to take timely measures to tackle them.
There are different kinds of treatments available, and some - such as cosmetic surgery - are not for everyone. Non-invasive treatments include creams, gels, or liquids that reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. We've all seen the ads on television, but many of us lack adequate information about such products. This is where a little research can go a long way.
However, it is a fact that due to scientific and technological advancement, companies are now able to invent and produce such kind of skin care products that can surprisingly alter and reverse the effects of aging on our skin and help us maintain a youthful, fresh skin for ever. We now know it very well that as we grow in age and become older; it leads to changes in the skin due to alteration in the production of collagen and elastin.
These two proteins, along with melanin, keep our skin looking healthy and attractive. But, when we age, we produce less of them. This may cause them to become unevenly distributed throughout the body, which leads to the aforementioned age-related skin problems.
Regular application of the right anti-aging cream or gel can help significantly. It will make your skin look smoother, younger, and healthier. This can have a tremendous impact on one's self esteem, as nice skin is equated with beauty. Looking great and feeling great are undeniably linked to one another.
The effects of wrinkle creams are different in case of different wrinkle creams. Therefore, we have specific products for a particular kind of skin problem, like for the eyes we have different anti aging creams. Similarly, for face and arms we should use suitable anti-aging products designed specifically for this.
Particularly, in case of areas around eyes skin is very thin as it lacks subcutaneous fat and oil glands, resulting in more wrinkles there. Being much sensitive as compared to other skin parts, it needs special attention and specific skin care products. Hence, knowing full well the effects of wrinkle creams is very important and whenever necessary we should always consult health experts and cosmetologists in choosing right kind of treatment line, which would help us in ensuring a refreshing, supple, well-toned, silky skin free from wrinkles and other similar age-induced skin problems.

Acne Care on The Limelight
Many skin experts have come up with their own theories that contradict each other especially on what mainly causes of acne. Acne care must be directed towards prevention of acne if one has not suffered a breakout before and also after one has successfully treated acne. If you have never been plagued by this disorder, you must not count yourself fortunate because as long as you continue living you can not be sure what the upcoming days will bring. You need to protect your skin as much as possible from exposure to factors that result to acne.
Although it is rare not to expect at least a pimple on your skin at some point in your life, some of them will be because of upheaval of normal hormonal balance. Change of diet and environment will also cause this and this is inevitable .Nonetheless after you get back to the usual you, then a fair and beautiful skin is restored. Others will tend to be caused by more permanent causes such as the bacteria that thrive on our skin, when they are infuriated and they multiply to uncontrollable numbers. Overproduction of sebum from our sebaceous glands will be a rare opportunity for these brassy tiny things that will then provide abundant food to them.
The point is, if you intend to embark on a serious acne care plan, you must know exactly what causes it on your specific case. This answer can only be found under the safe custody of your dermatologist. After knowing the type of your skin, then select the corresponding, solution from the variety of choices at your disposal. You could also make up your mind to treat acne using the products found in the market that either work by reducing sebum production, slaying the bacteria or shedding the dead cells.
Alternatively, you could turn to home remedies for acne care. The best thing with these is the fact that they have few side effects not to mention the fact that they are easily affordable and available. Some of these home remedies you could use to take care of your skin include putting toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help decrease swelling overnight. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without infuriating the acne. Apply a paste of fresh methi leaves over the face every night for ten to fifteen minutes and washed with warm water. This will prevent acne, pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles.

Natural Skin Care Benefits
hen it comes to treating anything in the body, doing it naturally is always the best way. The less chemicals one puts into their body the better off the body is. Skin problems, just like every other problem in the body, may at times require chemical treatments. When chemicals are not the only form of treatment however, knowing what natural treatments are available is a good idea. The Healing Benefits Of Tamanu Oil
Tamanu Oil is made from the nut kernels of the Tamanu Tree. While the tree itself does grow inland, it prefers salty, sandy soil, with the result that it tends to grow profusely near the sea. The native Ni Vanuatu people claim that the best Tamanu Oil comes from the trees that grow near coastal areas, rather than from those that grow inland.
The ability of Tamanu Oil to heal the skin surpasses that of most, if not all, modern day skin care products. Scientific studies show that Tamanu Oil is a significant healing agent because of its ability to produce new skin tissue and because of its anti-inflammatory, anti-neuralgic, antibiotic and antioxidant properties.

* protect the integrity of the skin's natural eco-system.
* soothe, moisturize, and lubricate skin that is dry, sensitive and irritable.

* protect from premature aging skin.
The Benefits of Using Evening Primrose Oil for Your Skin :

Daily skin care routine
Whatever your skin type, the brands you find at your local drugstore are typically your best bet. Larger skin care companies have the biggest budgets for research and development, and can sell highly effective products at affordable prices. There are a couple of products I recommend splurging on if you can - keep reading to find out which ones.
Cleansing
Cleansing is the first essential step in your daily skin care routine. Cleansing the face 2-3 times a day; is adequate for normal skin. If your skin is oily a more frequent cleansing i.e. 4-5 times a day is necessary. If your skin is dry it is best to avoid frequent washing and you may have to use a suitable oil-based cosmetic cleanser instead of soap, which has a dry effect.
Moisturizing
Regular use of a suitable moisturizer benefits your skin. The moisturizer not only replaces the water lost from the skin but also prevents its loss to the surroundings. It protects the skin against the drying influences of the environment such as the effects of the sun, cold and heat. Tinted moisturizers are very helpful under foundation. It always keep the make up moist.
Skin care by natural products really suits any kind of skin and it is recommended to habituate using natural skin care products on everyday basis.
Daily skin care Tips:
1. Each day when you take your bath or shower, try to use luke warm water. Hot water dries out the skin.

Creating your own natural skin care products
It is a well-known fact that the cosmetic industry is booming and will continue to boom. With the presence of so many different types of skin care products being introduced to the market almost daily, consumers are hard-pressed to choose products which they believe "are good for their skin". Nowadays, the hottest terminology in the cosmetics/skin care arena is "natural skin care". However, contrary to popular beliefs, many of these "natural skin care products" still contain many synthetic or man-made chemicals. In fact, synthesizing these chemicals is pretty easy and presenting consumers with a jar full of chemical concocts shouldn't be too hard too. Moreover, with less stringent FDA regulation for cosmetic/skin care products as compared to drugs, we as consumers have more reasons to worry about harmful chemicals present in the skin care products. Even though we are constantly being introduced to the concept of "natural skin care products" by cosmetic manufacturers, as a matter of fact, some "natural skin care products" can be quite unnatural. It is even more crucial for consumers with skin allergies to be well-equipped with knowledge of choosing the right type of skin care products. Learning to read the ingredient labels on skin care products is one of the ways to ensure that we purchase skin care products which are as natural as possible. However, reading ingredient labels is not for everyone. After all, not everyone is a chemist or even likes to read and understand chemical names and formulas.
An alternative method we can ensure our skin get the best natural skin care products would be to handmade our own skin care products. At the turn of the previous century, cosmetics and skin care products were either handmade or were created by licensed pharmacists. With less access to skin care products manufactured by skin care product manufacturers, people in those days used fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in their own gardens to treat skin conditions. It is not uncommon for these people to make use of common cooking ingredients to produce their own natural skin care products too.
I highly recommend such practice and think that we should try to go back to basics. If the natural skin care products work in those days, it should still work for us today. Of course, we must be cautious in choosing fruits and vegetables which are not sprayed with too much pesticides or herbicides as such chemicals can do more harm than good to our skin. The choice of organic produces can ensure that our skin has less contact with these harmful chemicals.
Fortunately for us, there are many resources we can make use of to create our own natural skin care products. If we are allergic to any of the common natural skin care ingredients, we can just avoid this particular fruit or vegetable.
These are the advantages of producing your own natural skin care products:
1) Affordability Without advertisements coming into the picture, it would really be much more affordable to produce your own natural skin care products than to buy them from the skin care product manufacturers who had spent big bucks on their advertising strategies.
2) Ease of preparation Since we are not trying to produce concocts of chemicals here, we would not require common lab vessels and containers such as pipettes, burettes, conical flasks and test tubes. We would basically just make use of juicers and other simpler equipments.
3) Knowledge of the actual components of your skin care products Since we are the producers of our own natural skin care products, we can avoid adding ingredients which we are allergic to.
The three advantages stated above are just many of the advantages that creating out own natural skin care products can bring. I will list some of the common ingredients we can use to produce our very own natural skin care products.
* Salt and Sugar are good for exfoliating dead skin cells and can also have therapeutic qualities. * Olive oil posses moisturizing benefits. * Apple can tighten and tone the skin. * Oats or oatmeal smoothen and refine the skin. They also aids in whitening of the skin. Oats also relieves irritated skin and is good for individuals with a sensitive skin type.

Pedicures
Kitten heels, funky and open toed sandals require toes and feet to look perfect and polished. A pedicure is a method to get better looking feet and nails. The word pedicure comes from the Latin word which means care of the foot. A Pedicure is helpful to prevent nail diseases and nail disorders. Pedicures are not only limited for nails, the dead skin of feet is also rubbed off using a rough stone called pumice stone under this process.
Like other beauty treatments, the Pedicure also has a long and rich history and reference in the past. In the current time more and more people are opting for pedicures for different reasons world over. Pedicures are actually a set of foot caring procedures which include foot exfoliation, foot care, nail care, foot massage and foot bath. There are two great reasons for a pedicure; the first reason is to give the feet a well-deserved pampering and deep cleaning and the second reason is to add a sexy look to the toes for summer sandals.
Soft and supple feet can be had by regular use of pumice stone and massaging with moisturizers to counter the effect of daily wear and tear on the feet. Medicated creams or Vaseline applied to the feet before retiring to bed work wonders. The problems related to feet that have occurred over long period of time should be referred to a foot care specialist. We feel our feet also deserve a bit of pampering. The process of the pedicure begins with the foot bath along with exfoliation, both are done simultaneously. After that foot is gently dried with the help of clean, germfree towels and some deep action moisturizers are applied. Now for the nails, a cotton pad soaked with nail-polish remover is used to take off old polish. After the old polish is removed toenails are clipped straight across with clippers and a nail file is used to smooth the edges, including the sides.
Feet are soaked again in the hot water for five minutes, and then they are rested on the edge of the foot bath. A foot file is dipped in the water, and then it is used to smooth heels, the balls of feet and the outsides of pinkie toes. Now they are patted dry with a clean towel. To get cuticles under control a nail brush dipped in an exfoliating scrub is applied where nail meets skin to clean the area.
Feet are again rinsed and dried; now a generous amount of super-moisturizing foot lotion or cream is applied and massaged into feet and calves. Feet and leg massage are an important part of pedicures. The technique helps to relax the person having the treatment. Foot reflexology is extensively used while giving the foot massage; it relieves many nerves that end in feet. Therapists may also massage with hot stones in their hands, and use special creams that have menthol in them and which are said to help rejuvenate the foot. The moisturizer is now washed off the toenails with soap and water and then dried.
Now it time for beautification of nails, space is created between toes with a foam toe separator and one coat of base coat, two coats of color and one coat of top coat is applied to the nails. Nail-polish remover is applied to remove any polish that missed the target and is on the skin. Polish is now allowed to dry for a few hours before putting on close-toed shoes. It is advisable to apply one coat of top coat three days after the pedicure, then every third day after that to keep polish from chipping. If feet are going to be exposed in the sun, a top coat with sunscreen keeps the polish from fading.
It is advisable that proper care for hygiene should be maintained during your pedicure and all the tools to be used should be properly sanitized and sterilized to avoid the bacterial and microorganism infections. During the process of the pedicure if any cut or skin damage is done, it should be immediately treated with antiseptics.

Homemade Spa Treatment and Beauty Recipes
You would love to pamper your body, wouldn't you? For complying with the tremendous work you do, your body definitely deserves rejuvenation, doesn't it? You might want to visit a nearby spa once in a while but you can also treat yourself to a luxurious spa-like experience at your home every week. You can refresh your nerves regularly, plus you don't have to loosen your purse strings much and it's greatest for those who do not have a spa nearby.
Get set and go: Kick-start your spa day with some of your regular exercises or take a fresh walk in the neighbourhood. After a short rest, apply a little olive oil or almond oil and massage in gentle circles. Leave it for half an hour and you can continue with your chores for the meantime.
Especially for your feet: Now, you are going to take special care for your tired legs. Take a small tub and fill it with warm water. Put a small amount of salt in it. This helps to remove the pain and fills you with freshness. You can add a few drops of lavender oil, too. Immerse your feet in it. After a while rub your heels with pumice stone. Cut your nails and rub the toes with a soft scrubber. After a soothing time in the water dab your feet dry. There's more to go.
Setting the atmosphere: Take all the stuff you need into the bathroom and keep them within reach.
That harmony: Music plays an important role on the day. Choose soothing music for your player and play it with a low volume. One good suggestion would be the sitar or the sax.
Radiance: You are going to treat yourself to a wonderful light. Pick some scented candles. You can also light some decorative candles and use a room spray. Try burning some incense sticks if you have good ventilation. Lighting some earthen lamps will look glamourous too.
THE APPETISER
Facial: Do a little steaming on your face but, if you have an oily skin dip a towel in hot water and intolerable heat, press the towel on your face. Now, you are ready for the facial. You can use your regular homemade facials or try these. Mash some papaya and add a little amount of honey. Papaya exfoliates the skin and nourishes it to a great extent and honey can give you special glow. You can use Fuller's earth, grape juice and a little amount of sandalwood paste if you have an oily skin. Or just beat an egg-white and spread it on your face.
THE ENTREE
Tub: Fill the tub with hot water. Squeeze a lemon into it. This will refresh you and make you feel younger. Pour in two tablespoons of rosewater. You can add rose or jasmine petals if you want that exotic look. Add a small pillow where your head is about to rest. Your head is going to love this.
Unwinding: Now, step into the tub and let your head relax on the pillow. Close your eyes with cucumber slices and say, "Relax... relax..." to yourself slowly. Your body will correspond to what you say in your mind and begin to relax your nerves. Use a gentle body wash and mild scrubber. You can use a mild soap too. Dove is a very good example.
Finally: Apply a moisturising lotion on your body. And then go for a face cream that makes you look just gorgeous. For your feet, heat a little vaseline and rub it on your feet with extra care on your heels. Now, treat yourself to a refreshing cool drink.
